Cam's finished breastplate tattoo

This is the other tattoo design commission that I made for Cam, the world's best client.  When Cam came to me a few months ago, his only specifications were that he wanted something that would cover his chest and his shoulders, and that he liked wolves.  Pretty vague starting point, but my head immediately jumped to the Norse Ragnarok story, in which the Sun and Moon are devoured by the wolves Hati and Skoll.  He loved it, and I started working, only to discover that it's really tricky to fit two wolves and the sun and moon onto what is effectively FOUR sections of the body - right shoulder, right pec, left pec, and left shoulder.  We mulled about this, and I can't remember whether Cam or I came up with the idea, but it turns out there were actually four wolves involved in Ragnarok!  I had forgotten about Fenrir and Garmr, who do battle with and devour Odin and Tyr!  It was perfect.
So, weeks later, this idea was finally finished.  I gotta be honest with you folks, I'm *really* happy with this design.  I think it's by far the best tattoo design I've ever done, it was a ton of fun to make, and it gave me some interesting challenges to work on, all of which paid off in the end!  I don't always like my stuff when I'm finished with it, but I'm really glad I took this commission.
