Okay, the first thing I should say is that I owe the general concept for this design to ~dawnpatrolla. His work is amazing, and I hope someday to become as proficient as he with gilding.

I'm trying to work toward a series of more broadly marketable designs to be displayed in a local Celtic gallery. this is the first (hopefully not the last) in that series.
